Every meaningful journey begins with a simple thought that has the power to transform lives. During a visit to a multispeciality medical camp organised by SRK Knowledge Foundation in the forests of Dang, Shri Govind Dholakia came across an idol of Lord Hanuman placed humbly beneath the shade of a tree. Villagers gathered there in prayer with deep faith, despite having no dedicated place of worship. That moment sparked a vision. Shri Govind Dholakia envisioned creating sacred spaces where every village could come together not only to worship, but to preserve its cultural traditions, strengthen community bonds, and inspire a spirit of service. This vision became the Sankalp to establish 311 Hanumant Sankalp Centres across the villages of Dang. As these Centres came to life, something remarkable began to unfold. They became far more than places of worship. Villages witnessed stronger community bonds, cultural traditions found renewed expression, social initiatives gained momentum, and the Centers evolved into vibrant spaces that brought people together through faith, service, education, and collective participation. Witnessing this transformation, Shri Govind Dholakia realised that the impact of the Sankalp extended far beyond the boundaries of Dang. If these Centers could inspire such meaningful change in one region, they could become a catalyst for community development across the country. This conviction gave rise to a renewed national vision to establish 1111 Hanumant Sankalp Centres across India, carrying forward the same spirit of faith, service, cultural preservation, and community empowerment from the forests of Dang to the heart of the nation.

Pure Vivaah To strengthen the ‘Family’ spirit of our company and raise awareness of mass weddings in the society, Shri Govind Dholakia organizes “Mass weddings” since 2015. Till date, 1000+ couples have tied the knot in the mass weddings.

The “SRK Bhagyalaxmi Yojana” was initiated by our loving Chairman, Shri Govind Kaka 18 years back. Under this yojana, a family having four or more girls are provided financial assistance for their bright future ahead- the aim being to encourage and save the girl child by empowering families for better upbringing. We support 24 families under this yojana, and feel satisfied with this step forward towards community development and inspiring the girl child.

Relief operations during disaster calamities : We take pride in the fact that during natural calamities, we have rose to the challenge of managing and restoring disaster-stricken areas. The villages of Lutavadar and Maniba in Kutch, Gujarat were fully restored after a devastating earthquake in 2001. During the Surat floods of 1994, 98, 2002 and 2006 and subsequent plague, SRK was actively involved in the clean-up movement. During the Cyclone in Maharashtra in 2020, SRKKF- our CSR arm, carried out Relief operation by providing 200 food kits and solar lights in 40 villages of Raigad and Ratnagiri.

SRK along with Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) donated 55 tonnes of food materials and grocery kits for the less privileged in order to tackle food shortage due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The kits consisted daily essential food like pulses, beans, vegetables, cooking oil, wheat flour, rice, etc.

Protecting our Ecological resources is one of our important responsibilities. We have built a canal in Dudhala, Saurashtra in Gujarat, and also constructed 45 check dams in the villages along the canal route. Tree conservation is supported by our club named, 'Sarjan Youth Club' in Surat.

HIV/AIDS marriage portal for GSNPP In Aug 2017, Centre for Management of Health Services (CMHS) of the IIM-A desired to develop a marriage portal to help find soulmates for people living with HIV. This was as part of a project for Gujarat state network of positive people (GSNPP). Govindkaka readily accepted the proposal and helped setting up this unique portal which is first of its kind in India.

Tapi River Cleanliness Drive : After plague epidemic hit Surat, Govindkaka initiated the activity of cleaning up the Tapi River under the banner of “Welcome Clearity Club”

To fortify our agrarian economy, we have launched several Agricultural and allied industry projects that involve saving water and energy projects, advanced farming awareness, etc. We have established helpdesks in remote villages like Lathi in Gujarat to provide free consulting to farmers on government policies that can benefit them. Having tied-up with institutes to take innovative agricultural practices to farmers in remote places, we organize special seminars and workshops on best practices in agriculture for the farming community.
