Our Responsibility
The Art of Giving
More than half a century ago in 1964, our Founder Chairman, Shri Govind Dholakia embarked on a special journey that would touch many lives. Shri Govind Dholakia’s resilient and passionate belief in ‘giving back to society’ has inspired us to set up the Shree Ramkrishna Knowledge Foundation (SRKKF). SRKKF the philanthropic arm of SRK, has been thus initiated for orchestrating a grand tomorrow, a grand India.
The idea of committing to CSR came to life during the gathering of Lord Bhikhu Parekh, Dr. Sudhamurthy and Father Valles at Surat on 9th of February 2015 and accelerated after the meeting with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on 24th of April 2015 at Surat. Both these meetings had a profound impact on our Founder. SRKKF associates and collaborates with individuals and institutions that are carriers of hope to millions across the world. We have connected with distinctive heroes and foundations who have sacrificed their lifetimes with their hard work, perseverance and indomitable spirit. We desire to move closer to all those who are the torchbearers of wisdom and knowledge in the new millennium. These CSR initiatives are our attempt to acknowledge and add to their collective efforts, to write a story of triumph, which is inspiring, and to bring hope and support to the needy with commitment.
We support individuals and institutions by providing committed management who have experience in various social and health projects, determined staff and project personnel, finance and allied resources, a knowledge network and most importantly, long term vision.
Our founder Shri Govind kaka believes that knowledge is bliss, and education brings knowledge. To ensure that his mission of educating the masses is successful, we have initiated, organized and executed several advanced academic programs, personality development, counselling and skill based training activities, remedial education workshops, targeted towards both the urban areas and the rural segments.

Winston Churchill once said, “Healthy citizens are the greatest asset any country can ever have.” We at SRKKF believe this to be true and are working to improve the health of our fellow citizens.
1. To commemorate the visit of erstwhile President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at SRK in 2013, SRK-Kalam Health Project was initiated by us. In this project, the physical check-up along with health parameters of more than 1,00,000 individuals in Saurashtra and other tribal areas of Gujarat was carried out. The findings of this research project has been published in ‘Nirmaya Health Report’
2. The Matrushri Nanduba Popatbhai Medical Centre at Surat treats patients at relief rates, has more than 40 expert visiting doctors for consultation and offers physiotherapy, X-ray, sonography, pathology and laboratory services. In addition to this SRK runs a 300-bed, fully equipped hospital with all the latest amenities, critical care units, individual departments and more than 100 specialist doctors along with a full complement of staff, technicians, diagnostics and emergency vehicles.
3. We team up with Nanduba Medical Center to battle the various health issues faced by the tribal communities under the initiative named “Sarvarog Nidaan Medical Camp”. This yearly initiative aims to serve the tribals of the various regions. Over the last 25 years, we have donated items of clothing, toys, food packets, and various other needed materials to the deserving people.
4. Quarterly-held medical camps are organized in order to reach out to those who may not have heard of our health centre's services. Eye check-up, diabetes, tuberculosis camps and blood donation drives are just some of the initiatives we have undertaken over the years.

To fortify our agrarian economy, we have launched several Agricultural and allied industry projects that involve saving water and energy projects, advanced farming awareness, etc. We have established helpdesks in remote villages like Lathi in Gujarat to provide free consulting to farmers on government policies that can benefit them. Having tied-up with institutes to take innovative agricultural practices to farmers in remote places, we organize special seminars and workshops on best practices in agriculture for the farming community.
